How Membership Works

Rocky Mountain Renegades RC is building its founding group through winter 2026–27.
This page explains the membership pathway, what will be expected, and how riders can progress toward Full Riding Member status as the Club prepares for Spring 2027.

Membership Process Overview

Membership is designed to be earned through participation, safe riding, accountability, and alignment with Club standards. The goal is to build trust and consistency before full privileges are granted. This page explains the pathway from first contact through Full Riding Member status.

At a glance

  • Meetings: once active membership begins, meetings will be held monthly and schedules will be communicated directly.
  • Voting: Full Riding Members in Good Standing only, by visible show of hands, with no proxy votes.
  • Approval standard: advancement and key decisions require an 80 percent approval vote of eligible members present at an official meeting.
  • Planned fees: $200 registration fee upon formal acceptance, plus $50 monthly dues once active membership begins.

Membership Progression

Membership follows a structured progression designed to build trust, consistency, and mutual respect. Advancement is not automatic and requires demonstrated standards, leadership review, and the required official vote.

Guest

Get to know the Club through approved introductions, meetups, or public activity when available.

Associate / Family

Build trust through consistent involvement, reliability, and support for the Club’s developing activities.

Prospect

Formal evaluation stage. Assigned a Sponsor and expected to demonstrate consistency, reliability, conduct, and commitment.

Full Riding Member

Earned full patch and voting status, maintained through Good Standing and continued accountability.

Advancement is earned

Advancement is based on conduct, participation, reliability, and consistency. Sponsor feedback and leadership review are part of the process. Time served alone does not qualify a member for advancement.

1. Eligibility and Good Standing

The founding group is being built around experienced, dependable riders who want a family friendly, coed riding community and are prepared to represent the Club responsibly. Acceptance and advancement are based on fit, conduct, reliability, and participation.

Good Standing will mean a member is current on dues, meeting participation expectations, and has no active disciplinary status. Good Standing will be required to vote, hold office, advance in membership status, and participate in member-only rides.

2. Meetings and Attendance Expectations

Once active membership begins, meetings will be held monthly for governance, planning, and accountability. Meeting schedules will be communicated directly to members.

Members who cannot attend will be expected to notify the President or Vice President. Consistent attendance will support Good Standing and help keep the chapter organized.

3. Becoming a Member and Voting

Voting will be limited to Full Riding Members in Good Standing. Votes will be conducted by visible show of hands, with no proxy votes.

Advancement and key decisions require an 80 percent approval vote of eligible members present at the meeting.

4. Participation and Maintaining Good Standing

Once the Club is active, members will be expected to contribute time and effort to rides, meetings, community activity, and Club responsibilities. Participation reflects commitment and affects trust, advancement readiness, and leadership decisions.

Internal issues will be handled through the defined leadership and discipline process. The purpose is to protect the integrity of the Club and keep standards consistent.

5. Registration and Ongoing Dues

Planned registration fee: $200 one time upon formal acceptance. This covers onboarding, administrative setup, and Club materials. Registration becomes non-refundable once processed.

Planned monthly dues: $50 per month once active membership begins, payable at official meetings. Keeping dues current will be part of remaining in Good Standing.

Once dues are active, members who fall behind may be subject to review under Club rules. Financial accountability supports operational stability and responsible chapter growth.

6. Sponsorship and Probation

Prospects will be assigned a Sponsor. Sponsorship is a formal responsibility. The Sponsor helps guide integration, set expectations, and provide leadership with feedback on readiness for advancement.

The probationary period is an evaluation phase. Advancement will be earned through conduct, participation, reliability, and consistency, not simply time served.
