Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct defines the operational behavior standard for Rocky Mountain Renegades RC. It preserves internal order, protects member safety, and safeguards the reputation of the club. These standards are mandatory. Representation of the club requires disciplined conduct at all times. Conduct is evaluated by impact, intent, and pattern, not excuses.


Operational conduct

Core Standards


Applies to everyone. These standards apply to members, prospects, associates, supporters, and guests at rides, meetings, events, online spaces, and any public situation where the club is represented. A guest does not outrank the standard. If someone cannot meet the standard, they do not participate.

Respect and professional conduct

Standard: Calm, respectful, controlled conduct.
Prohibited: Harassment, intimidation, threats, bullying.
Expectation: Consult leadership, not public escalation.
Application: If you cannot speak and act professionally, step away and report any issues to sgt. at arms.

Ride conduct and command compliance

Standard: Follow traffic laws and ride procedures.
Prohibited: Racing, stunting, weaving, aggressive behavior, breaking formation without direction.
Authority: Road Captain direction is followed immediately.
Application: If you refuse direction, you will be removed from the group ride and reviewed at next meeting.

Online and public representation

Standard: Professional posture in all club spaces.
Prohibited: Online conflict using the club name, public airing of internal disputes, hostile posting.
Requirement: Handle internal matters through head table.
Application: If you create public damage while representing the club, discipline escalates quickly.

Guests and public events

Standard: Family appropriate language and behavior when the public or youths are present, where applicable.
Responsibility: Members are 100% responsible for guests.
Enforcement: Public misconduct is treated as expellable.
Application: If a guest causes issues, the member and the guest are both removed and reviewed.

Governance Authority


Authority chain and final ruling

The Head Table governs the club. Officers enforce standards. The Sergeant at Arms applies discipline levels and determines fine amounts and suspension duration based on severity and history. If a disciplinary dispute occurs, the President issues the final ruling. Operational safety decisions made during a ride or event are immediate and not debated in the moment.

Procedural discipline

Due process. If there is a conduct issue, the member may address the club at a monthly meeting with an explanation or defense. Fine amounts and suspension duration are set by the Sergeant at Arms. If the outcome is disputed, the President rules the dispute and implementation, the ruling is final.

Documentation. Leadership may document conduct incidents, warnings, and outcomes to establish pattern and support fair escalation. Repeated minor violations may escalate to higher levels based on impact and frequency.

Immediate action triggers

Threats, violence, harassment, impairment, reckless riding, refusal of officer direction, criminal conduct at club activities, or repeated disregard for leadership direction may result in immediate removal from the activity and suspension pending review. Immediate removal is a safety action first, discipline review follows after control is restored.

Level 1, Verbal warning

Documented correction for minor violations. Clear direction is provided and expected to be followed.

Level 2, Written warning

Formal notice outlining violation, required correction, and timeline. Continued breach escalates without further warning.

Level 3, Fine

Financial penalty for conduct impacting safety, operations, or respect. Non payment is treated as refusal to comply and escalates.

Level 4, Suspension

Temporary removal of riding privileges, vest representation, and voting rights for the duration set. Return conditions may be applied before reinstatement.

Level 5, Expulsion

Removal of membership. Requires 80 percent approval vote by show of hands. Expulsion includes removal of identifiers and loss of privileges immediately.

Accountability process

Reporting and confidentiality


Confidentiality standard. Reports are handled privately and shared only with leadership who must act. Confidentiality is not a promise of secrecy when safety, legal obligations, venue requirements, or protection of members and the public require escalation.

How to report a concern

Step 1: If immediate safety is involved, notify the sgt. at arms or an officer right away.
Step 2: After the event, report concerns to a Head Table member privately.
Step 3: Keep reports factual, include date, location, and what occurred, avoid public discussion.
Step 4: Leadership reviews and applies action consistent with club governance, outcomes are documented.

Final authority


Identifiers and return requirement

Rockers, patches, and identifying insignia remain property of Rocky Mountain Renegades RC. Upon resignation, expulsion, or directive during suspension, identifiers must be returned. Failure to comply constitutes a serious conduct violation and may trigger additional enforcement action. The club may restrict use of name, marks, and representation immediately upon removal or suspension.
