Membership process overview

Membership is earned through showing up, riding responsibly, and aligning with club standards. The goal is trust, consistency, and respect. This page explains what to expect from your first contact through becoming a voting member.

  • Meetings: held monthly. Members and applicants receive schedules directly from the chapter.
  • Voting: Full Riding Members in Good Standing only, show of hands only, no proxy votes.

Membership follows a structured progression designed to build trust, consistency, and mutual respect. Advancement is not automatic and requires leadership approval and an official vote, in accordance with club bylaws.

Explore the culture and attend approved public events by invite.

Associate Member

Support the mission, help with events and logistics.

Prospect

Active evaluation stage. Assigned a Sponsor and expected to show consistency and reliability.

Full Riding Member

Earned status with full privileges while remaining in Good Standing.

Advancement is earned

Advancement is based on conduct, participation, and consistency. Sponsor feedback and leadership review are part of the process. Time served alone does not qualify a member for advancement.

1, Eligibility and Good Standing

We welcome people who want a family friendly, co ed riding community and who are prepared to represent the Club well. Acceptance and advancement are based on fit, conduct, and participation, in accordance with club bylaws.

Good Standing means a member is current on dues, meeting participation expectations, and has no active disciplinary status. Good Standing is required to vote, hold office, advance in membership status, and participate in member only rides.

2, Meetings and attendance expectations

Meetings are held monthly and are used for governance, planning, and accountability. Meeting schedules are communicated directly to members and applicants.

If you cannot attend, you are responsible to notify the President or Vice President. Consistent attendance supports Good Standing and helps keep the chapter organized and safe.

3, Becoming a member and voting

Voting is for Full Riding Members in Good Standing only. Votes are conducted by show of hands only and there are no proxy votes.

Advancement and key decisions require an 80 percent approval vote of eligible members present at the meeting.

4, Participation and maintaining Good Standing

Members are expected to contribute time and effort to chapter events, rides, and responsibilities. Participation reflects commitment and affects trust, advancement readiness, and leadership decisions.

Internal issues are handled through leadership review in accordance with club bylaws. Discipline exists to protect the integrity of the Club and keep standards consistent.

5, Registration and ongoing dues

Registration fee: $200 one time upon acceptance. This covers onboarding, administrative setup, and club materials. Registration is non refundable once processed.

Monthly dues: $50 per month, payable at official meetings. Maintaining current dues is part of remaining in Good Standing.

Members who fall behind may be subject to review in accordance with club bylaws. Financial accountability supports operational stability and chapter growth.

6, Sponsorship and probation

Prospects are assigned a Sponsor. Sponsorship is a formal responsibility, the Sponsor helps guide integration, sets expectations, and provides feedback to leadership on readiness for advancement.

The probationary period is an evaluation phase. Advancement is earned through conduct, participation, and consistency, not time served.
